Autumn, is one of the four temperate seasons outside the tropics and marks the transition from summer to winter, in September in the Northern Hemisphere or March in the Southern Hemisphere.
Autumn is the season when the duration of daylight becomes noticeably shorter and the temperature cools, the day length decreases and night length increases as the season progresses towards the Winter.
One of our favourite features in England is the striking change in colour for the leaves of deciduous trees as they prepare to shed.
The cool weather and the gorgeous colours – what’s not to like – And we don’t even mention Halloween!!
